Because my last post didn't work (don't bother trying to quote it, your edit buttons will disappear) let me post the link to the creator's website.

Yeah, sorry about that. If I could edit my post I'd put in a warning about putting all spillables away from you.

The cave story IS just a story...

I must admit it's one of the best stories written in a Lovecraftian style I've came across in the past year or so.

Please note the Lovecraftian motifs:

1) an unnamed fear
2) nothing tangible, but an intense feeling of horror
3) animals can feel it
4) simple, yet effective vocabulary
5) intense introspection from the part of the hero
6) story written in "first person mode", as a diary
7) characters who are too shocked to talk about their experience
8) lack of wilingness from the part of the narrator to allow others to repeat the experience
9) lack of "true" resolution (aka "fish-tail ending")

There are also a couple of hints given in the text, which indicate everything's just a literary, compeletely fictional endeavour:

1) the mention of the "Hodag" monster (which does not really exist, as a simple Google search will reveal it)
2) the mention of the "Overlook point" - come on, how can you miss a reference to Stephen King/Stanley Kubrick's "Shining" ???

All in all, excellent read, very effective and nicely rounded. Props to the person who posted the link!

I have a semi-spooky story for ya.

When my older brother got married they moved into a old trailer house. it was a crappy trailer in a crappy neighborhood. I helped move them in and besides a few dark closets and corners it wasn't all that creepy when I first went in. but there were alot of people in there at the time helping with the move so it was pretty bizy in there.

I did go in a few weeks later to drop of some software and while I was in there I was kinda 'uneasy' I wouldn't say I was creeped out but I didn't want to stay too long if I didn't have to. pretty much when ever I was there I didn't like it. At first I thought it was because I was still getting used to my new sister in-law.

After a few months living there they decided to move out, and they were in a big hurry about it. While we were helping them move again pretty much every one was feeling uncomfortable being in that house. the house made alot of odd noises, and while most of them were easy to explained some still creeped out most people.

that evening two of my sisters and one of their boyfriends and me whent into the house to get a bed an a few odds and ends. and I have to say I REALLY didn't want to be in that house. We had to take the door off to get the bed threw and the whole time every one kept looking around the house like they thought something was there. Even I was starting to get pretty paranoid. after we got the bed out and the door back every one was ready to go but the door wouldn't lock.

My Brother always had problems with that door and never could get it to work right. While Rick (the boyfriend) was trying to get the door to lock, I was standing by the truck ready to get the f**k out of there. He started to say it felt like the door was pulling open when suddenly the door opened and he fell into the house. he jumped back onto he feet, got back outside and slammed the door shut and proceeded to try and lock it again.

While messing with the lock he said it must have been the wind. I stood there for a few seconds and then pointed out something that made every one really spooked.

"Umm... there is no wind."

Not even a leaf was moving it was so still.

After that we agreed the house was fine unlocked, piled into the van and left.

I had talked to my brother about this later on in the week and he started to tell me how the whole time in that house he kept hearing stuff he couldn't explain and saw shadows that would move around. One night him and hs wife thought they saw some one in their room. That was about the time they decided to move.

And Thats my story that I sware is true.

I don't know about you guys but I didn't find the Black Eyed Children story that scary. I read it before I went to bed too. It was believable at first, but once the story mention his ghostbuster pals, I started laughing :(

The black eyed kids story was creepy for me.. I have the kind of mind, where after reading something like that, I imagine myself turning around and seeing to little kids standing there staring at me, or that I'd go to bed and in the night someone would knock on my patio door (I live on the ground floor), and I look out the blinds and just see them standing there staring at me. Then just thinking that I'm imagining that gets me freaked out..

Respect knuckles to the guy who mentioned the Lovecraft stuff, I didn't realize it until you mentioned it, but very true.

Thanks... I almost feel sorry for debunking such a nicely written piece, but fiction is fiction.

Keep them coming!

Everyone who watched 1 through 5, make sure to check the fat-pie link for episode 6, quite possibly the most f%$#ed up one yet. I don't understand why Newgrounds doesn't have it, unless it's that f%$#ed up.

Oh yes, Happy Tree Friends is not so much creepy as deranged.

Just finished the caving story.

almost 4am here.

There's a cage with rats across the room from me, and they're nocturnal so occationally they'll jump around and make banging noises that freak the hell out of me now.

Pretty good story at night :)
