Creepy Internet stalking etiquette

So I participated in a forum gift exchange last year, and the person in question pm'd me about six months ago saying they were five months into a pregnancy.

Being irrevocably male, I didn't put 2 and 2 together until last night. Thank goodness for fingers or I couldn't count to 9.

Baby pics have not materialized, and I am suspicious there was a miscarriage.

Would sending their family an unsolicited Christmas bouquet be out of line? I've never met this person but we've been members of the same forum for 12 years.

What, exactly, was the "gift" you exchanged with this person? :hmm:

And should you be expecting a "gift" of a paternity suit this year?

If you have not heard from this person since, I would probably just drop it.

yeah, pretty much this. you have her address fro an explicit purpose. sending her a random whatever is quite creepy.

If she really did have a miscarriage, I'm sure a bouquet of flowers from an anonymous internet forum member will surely cheer her right up.

If six months ago someone was five months into a pregnancy, wouldn't they only be one month in as of July? Meaning they wouldn't be giving birth until around April?
Where did you learn math? 6 months ago (July) they were 5 months pregnant would put the due date sometime in November, you know 5+4=9 right?
OP, if it's not someone you correspond with regularly and you don't know for sure anyway...let it go.

I'm not sure what OP is asking. What does this have to do with internet stalking etiquette? If six months ago someone was five months into a pregnancy, wouldn't they only be one month in as of July? Meaning they wouldn't be giving birth until around April?

baby should have been born 2 months ago.

It depends on your motivation.

To repay a gift provided last year? Sure, no problem.
To forge a tie with a woman potentially suffering a loss? Questionable. Especially if she is involved.

Flowers are most always nice to receive. Except a jealous boyfriend may develop suspicion.

So six months ago you heard she was pregnant and since you haven't seen any baby pics or anything, you're assuming there was a miscarriage? Maybe she hasn't sent any pics cause she's kinda busy or worried about other things?
