Besides the fact that Creed sucks so hard that the Earth's atmosphere risks collapsing, the story of the accident doesn't add up. I think that the Creed camp is lying. Here's why:
There are some rumours that Stapp has a pain-killer addiction and this may be a cover story and that ticket sales were lower than desired and that's the real reason. According to mtv.com:
"On April 19 around 1:40 p.m., Stapp was driving a Cadillac SUV on Interstate 4 in Florida and was struck from behind by a Ford SUV when traffic suddenly slowed, according to an Orlando Police Department accident report. The officer on the scene estimated there was $1,000 worth of damage done to Stapp's vehicle and wrote that there were "no injuries noted."
"The reason the tour has been canceled is Creed must err on the side of caution," the band's spokesperson said. "From the accident, Scott has been checking with specialists in regard to his neck and back to find out how much physical therapy might be needed to get him back to feeling good. Once we have an idea how much recovery is needed, that?s when we?ll know when we can go back on tour."
Note that they said $1,000 damage - If you've seen the results of 5 mph crash tests, you know that the repair bill runs from $1,500-$3,500 on most SUVs and that's a FIVE MILES PER HOUR!!! IF he was hit at 60 mph, the cars would be TOTALLED and people would be going to the hospital on backboards!
A guy posted this on another BBS:
First of all I was in a car accident 2 weeks ago, my SUV got hit and it was about $2000 damage to my car, and the other car had about $3000. No airbags goin off, no injuries, felt like bumper cars. This story is majorly fishy. I know for a fact that Mark Tremonti and Scott Stapp both drive Escalades. Those are tanks. With an estimated $1000 damage, thats like the side mirror going off. No injuries can occur at such a small fender bender.
You aren't getting the whole, TRUE story from the Creed site. Figures a lame-ass band like them can't tell the truth to their fans. Abandon them!!!
