Got my credit score when I went to get pre-approved for a loan:

Equifax - 762
Trans Union - 775
Experian - 789

This considered good for getting a loan? The mortgage I applied for is a little higher than the price range of the houses I am looking at so hopefully if they will either 1 - approve me or 2 - approve me for a lower amount.

you'll be fine with those scores. your "mid" score (775) is what many lenders use to determine your interest rate...

You'll most certainly get top or second to top tier interest rates with those credit scores. Nice work keeping up a good credit history.

This is my second time applying for a pre-approved loan... am I looking at my max amount of times before my score starts to drop due to the amount of credit inquiries?

My score was 792 when I applied for my first home loan. This was two years ago and I was age 23 at the time. I was able to get the best rates possible. Just FYI...

Thoes are good scores, you shouldn't have much of a problem getting a loan. Though your employment history, length of open credit lines and other factors may come into play.

That's the thing... I just recently changed jobs Sept. 2005, but previous to that my job history was pretty good.

789/880 = 89.7% = B

No, not a B, a strong A within shouting distance of A+.

Everything over 760 is a considered a "top" credit score. You can score up to 850, but anything over 760 is gravy.
