So I just checked my dad's credit report for him and I notice there are a few previous addresses on the report that he never resided in. They were reported around 1999 and he lived in his current address for over 15 years. Other than the unknown addresses from 1999, everything else looks fine. Should he be worried or take any action?

As long as the rest of the report is good, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Those addresses are rarely, if ever, used as current references (unless he perhaps was buying a house or applying for super secret government position). ;)

I don't think you need someone's SSN to change address. You can just fill out a form from USPS and submit it anonymously..

File the correction with the credit bureau. These mistakes happen a lot. I have to go through mine once a year because they seem to let just anyone provide updates to your address, alias and employment info. Half the time the wrong address listed is the one from the creditor providing the information
