AnnualCreditReport.com is the official site to help consumers to obtain their free credit report.
This central site allows you to request a free credit file disclosure, commonly called a credit report, once every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion.

As others have said, annualcreditreport.com, that is the ONLY truly 100% free no strings attached source as mandated by the US .gov

well that seems to be the one everyone is talking about. we tried to use them but said you have to be 18. bah.

we suspect she has a bunch of stuff on her report from her mother. We are hopeing ot get a copy of it to check.

Free iPods?

Seriously though, some states have laws on the books where you are allowed by law to get a free credit report once a year, without going to one of these scammy-type sites that make you give them your credit card number to sign up for stupid services you can "cancel at any time free of charge!".

https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/helpfaq#reqchild">From their website regarding minors:</a>

How do I request a credit report by mail for a child under 13 years of age?

The credit reporting agencies do not knowingly maintain credit files on minor children. If you suspect that your minor child's information has been used fraudulently, you should contact the credit reporting agencies directly and report the illegal use of your child's information to law enforcement. Please supply each credit reporting agency with your child's complete name, address, date of birth and a copy of the minor child's birth certificate and social security card. Additionally, please provide a copy of your driver's license or other government-issued proof of your identity, which includes your current address, and a current utility bill containing your current address so the credit reporting agencies may promptly respond to your request. The addresses for the credit reporting agencies are listed below:

Equifax
P.O. Box 740256
Atlanta, Georgia 30374

Experian
P.O. Box 9554
Allen, Texas 75013

TransUnion
P.O. Box 6790
Fullerton, CA 92834
Now, it doesn't say what to do for children from the age of 13 to 18; although I'd still follow that advice.
