Credit Monitoring

Well .... it was bound to happen .... Not going to get into it.

My wife had her wallet stolen. She doesn't know if here Social Security card was in it. Regardless ... we can not find it.

Has anyone used a service like equifax? I basically want something that will alert me when anyone applies for a credit card, etc.......

Contact all accounts, cards, etc and put a fraud warning (if not entirely close accounts) on em immediately. You can put a fraud alert on the credit report as well.

I've used the credit monitoring at experian before. They used to give a free year if you bought Microsoft Money. Was nifty in that I could pretty much check my credit report daily or so for free.

We already canceled te credit cards, etc....

It's the social security card that worries me most.

How do I "put a fraud warning"? Not sure where that was going.

Oh fraud alert on the credit report..... how do I do that?
