I just checked my credit card, and last week I had $600 limit (fine with me. I usually always use cash) and today I now have a limit of $2000. Pretty big hike for no apparent reason.

What do you guys have for a credit limit ?
 
$1.5k Visa, $1 Discover. Might pick up a third one within a few years, but I don't use them often, maybe once a quarter for books and supplies so as to consolidate the withdrawals from my checking account.

I applied for a new card and they gave me a $50,000 limit. I told them to lower it to $20K, which they did but they've been gradually increasing it. It's back up to $30K now... even though I've never had more than $1K on it.😕

Holy crap. You could buy a car with your credit card. haha 🙂

I wish mine was not so high. It gave me a reason not to spend money I didnt have. 🙂

I guess its good personal security if I ever needed it... meh!
 
I was just a tad irresponsible with credit cards in college.

Now I only have one card. It had a $500 limit for over a year until they raised it to $1500 about 6 months ago. Balance is $1400 right now. :evil:
 
Age: 21. Credit Score: 700ish. Credit limits: $5,000 @ 1st Financial Bank USA. $1,000 @ Citibank. $450 @ Sears Mastercard. $700 Dillards store card
 
$3000 limit. got the card last july. limit was originally set at $500. jumped to $3000 in december. only really use the card for gas and in tight spots, never go above the $500.
 
1000 when i got my first card. i requested to raise it to 1700 last year to fund a trip. just applied for another card.. they gave me $13k :Q kinda cool i think.. but i kinda liked having a low limit, so i know i'll never go overboard with my spending. i'm not sure i trust myself with a big credit limit! 🙂
