Credit Gurus:- Is American Express Gold card worth getting ?

After 3 years of hard work and paying off all cards on time and paying student loans on time my credit seems to be getting better. I had 3 recollections while I was in college 🙁.

Anyway I am pre-approved for American Express Gold (charge card). The first year is free and after that its $90/month. I already have 2 visa CC but American Express seems to be offering a lot more perks. I am trying to limit # of inquires on my credit while I am trying to fix it so I can buy a house at some point. So is it worth it considering I get Best Value Gaurantee and other perks that people in hot deals abuse 🙂 ?

The three page offer from American Express tells me I should feel special for getting this offer, but I doubt it 😉.

ya know there is a current promotion that will give ytou 20000 reward points for signing up. it takes 17500 for a southwest ticket. hopefull i didnt justify it for ya

 

I'd go with Blue Cash, simply b/c of the no annual fee. IMHO, why pay someone to use credit when you can use it for free from hundreds of other people?

Although, if it comes with BVG it might be worth it. What's the yearly BVG amount limit?
