Credit Freeze/lock anybody in here do this?

as a way to prevent ID theft i am thinking of contacting the 3 credit reporting agencies and do this. anybody have any experience with this?

It's intended to be a short time response to a belief that someone stole your info and is actively attempting to open accts in your name, etc. If that's the case, do it asap, if not...I would say it's more of a PITA than it's worth and unnecessary but rock on if it helps you sleep better.
