Credit Card surcharge ?

If you use your credit card in Canada and you are from the U.S. Does the credit card company charge you a fee or surcharge to use it?

Some yes. Some no. Check your credit card agreement.

Check your fee schedule. Some do and some don't. My local bank charges a 1% currency conversion fee (as do many others) but I have a couple other cards that charge nothing.

Mine don't but the exchange rate is less than ideal.

True, but not horrible either. In my experience, it was a decent exchange rate.
