Credit Card Question

I have a card from Citibank, just your typical 3k credit card. I want to get one of the rebate cards, but I dont want to lose the credit history on the old card. Is it possible to have the card type changed from a regular old credit card to one of the rebate cards and not lose the credit history?

Call CitiBank at 1-800-950-5114 and tell them you would like a "product change" to the CitiBank Dividends Platinum Select cc.

hmm actually i just remeber something.

not meaning to hijack the thread but how about when you have 2 cards from the same bank (amex to be exact), and you don't use one anymore? can you kinda combine the cards somehow?

MBNA did that for me without me even asking. I had an old card that I didnt need any longer, I called up to have it canceled. They canceled it and rolled the credit line into the other card.

I did that w/ citibank. Had a regular card, then got the sony card. fused em up to the sony and the limits combined.
