I have 2 credit cards, and want to put them together onto 1 card...

i have 1 bad mark on my credit history, about 2 years ago i moved and the cc company never changed my address, well after 4 months, i forgot to pay 2 months in a row and my card was about ot expire, so they made me pay all at once, only like $500 and i did with no problem, but they put it on my report and i have had no problems before or after this

which is less likely to get denied, asking for a higher limit on my card that only has $600 limit, which i've always paid off on time, but usually my spending each month brings it close to the limit each month

or apply for a new CC with a different bank, i was thinking capital one...or does anyone have another company suggestion for a company?

right now i have a citibank and an mbna

I don't like Citibank. I'd rip it up and increase the line of credit on the MBNA card. If you pay on-time every month and have only one blemish, I can't believe that would be a problem.

Capital One will approve almost anyone but they tend to give LOW limits. Fleet gave me a $10,000 VISA but Capital One only offered me $500!!!

If you want a fairly accurate answer I would recommend ordering this for $12.95 from EquiFax (which is one of the 3 major credit bureau's), you can view your credit report online instantly (maybe you have other late payments that you're not aware of?) and you can also see your credit score as well.

If you order this, post your credit score or PM it to me.

Also you should have a good length of employment and living at your current address for at least 2 years.

What's your monthly debt/income ratio like? It should ideally be low.
