Well my credit card company, 1st financial increase my credit limit $9000 to $11,000. Not like i need the increase, instead of increasing my credit limit to $11,000 give me a lower interest rate. Right now it hanging around 20%, be nice they would lower it to at least 15%

How about you call them and ask.

Btw, I think you may be wagging your e-penis around, but I don't have a magnifying glass to see it right now.

Seriously, 20%? Man, they think you need them more than they need you. None of my cards are anywhere near that high, but I do know what you mean about them increasing limits without so much as "do you need a limit increase?" Amex just did this to me. I got it early last year for a $3K purchase, which I returned, but the limit a year later is 2.67 times higher (6-->16).

ROFL🙂 I have a card from them and my interest rate is 8.9%. The one thing i hate about the card though is the payment scheduale.

Yeah...they higher it without asking you. That and increasing credit line does not damage credit.

Doesn't matter if you don't carry a balance. If you do, you should find a card that's even lower than 15%. Like Big J said, call the CC issuer and ask for a lower APR.

Hey I'm only 19 but I need to be learning about such things so what is FICO anyone?

Not sure about the details, but the FICO score is an measurement of your 'credit-worthiness.' IIRC, some things that affect your score are:
-Not having late payments
-Obviously, no history of loan defaults
-Proportion of unused credit

It's supposed to show that you can MANAGE debt well. ViperGTS can probably tell you in greater accuracy and detail. Or Google 😛

hmm well i really dont use credit, all my expenses are paid for cash/debit.
reguardless i know its good to have credit, how i start off?

Your APR is far too high!

I never carry a credit on my credit cards. I always pay it in full each month and don't buy stuff that I don't have the £££ to pay for. No point carrying credit when I have the cash. I do make some CC payments online for the protection over my checking account card.

I have a crappy £1250 limit 😛

the one thing I hate about paying my 1st fianaical credit card bill, if i pay it online, they automatically charge a $10 fee for paying online, so I send it to them in the mail. This other credit card I have, when you goto to pay it online, they have an express payment, they charge like $15 for sameday payment, other than that it free to pay it online when you do a schedule payment for a few days later.

Uh, that's strange. All the banks around here it is free (in fact, they prefer if you pay online).

My CC only slowly raised my limits. I got it about 3 years ago when I was 18 with a $500 limit. Had to call 3 months later to get $1k. It goes up 1k/year after that. I simply went and got an AMEX a couple months ago with a $3k limit, screw those guys.

WTF... are you paying my echeck maybe? Do a direct withdrawl from your bank.. it's still $10? That's insane.. I would drop that card like a rock if that were the case.

My interest rate is about 14%, I've been slowly TRYING to pay off a debt of $2500. With an interest of $50 per month, it kind of smacks around my ability to pay it off anytime soon, even paying $200-$250 a month. What's annyoing is since I stopped using it, sticking with cash instead, they keep send me letters and calling me on the phone asking why I'm not using the card and telling me I really really really should be using it. Jerks.

i dont remember if they changed it or not, id havent pay it through the website in over a year i think. Also I dont remember the website login and sn from not using it in awhile.
