Credit Card Interest Rates

I've been trying to find some way of getting rid of my credit card because of its high interest rate. Because i've only been at my job for 6 months and at my new apartment for 2 months I've been denied loans to pay it off.

Is there any other way of lowering the interest rate on the card I have??? I was told that I can call the card company and tell them that I can't continue to use their card because the intrerest rate. And tell them that I'm going to move to a different one if they can't help me out. Any ideas??? I'm really stressing about this so please no smart ass remarks.

Or find one of those credit card offers that offer 0% interest for 6 months on credit transfers. I never did one of those deals, just went through credit card consolidation. Now my credit is awesome with no credit cards.

Just call and ask. If you have made all your minimums, they will probably lower the rate, if not find another credit card.

don't spend money on anything else until you pay it off. I don't care if you go without electricity or food. It is stupid to pay those rediculous interest rates just cause you are behind on payments.

I did this. There was an upfront transfer fee, but with 0% interest for 6-months, it came out cheaper in the end. I used the extra time to pay off the card in full.

I'm now credit-card debt free. 🙂

1) Call and ask to get your rate reduced. It is really that simple. Most companies will do it.

2) Do whatever it takes to (a) decrease your spending and (b) increase your income until it is paid off. This is a lot easier to do than it sounds.
