Credit card company suggestions?

I'm only 19 so I don't have much of a credit history.....I have a credit score in the low 700s though which is decent. Anyway, can someone suggest a credit card company that will probably give me a credit limit of ~1,000 with a somewhat decent APR like 15%. I'm trying to buy an expensive item on Dell but the Dell preferred account has a horrible APR.....28%. They do give me a $1,500 credit limit...but I want to find a credit card with a much lower APR because that is just insane to pay almost 30% in interest.

I'll probably pay half of it off immediately but if I leave even just a few hundred dollars in the Dell account interest will bite me in the ass. TIA.

The problem is that I'll only be able to pay off like $500 in the first month....than like ~$100 a month afterwards. I'll be paying it off quickly but 28% interest is a killer.

Anyone with minimal credit background care to share success stories where the CC gave you a high limit with halfway decent APR?

Try your bank or join a credit union. They are more generous than say capital one when you have no credit history. I recommend the CU route.

Already have a CC with my credit union........they gave me a dismal $500 limit. That's why I'm looking for a second card so I can buy expensive stuff with a CC and pay it off in a couple months.

citibank has a 1% cash back on everything card, 5% on supermarket, drug store, and gas station purchases. My interest rate is at 11.2% right now, and I had way horrible credit when i got the card (4 months ago)

or you can try getting the capital one prime lock card that they advertise on TV. IF the card had a high enough credit limit, you'd buy your house with that card.

oh, and if you can afford to wait a few months for your computer, buy it then. these dell deals keep coming back, you'll pay less interest money, and it'll be faster.

Was it the Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® MasterCard? It looks decent...15.99% APR after 6 months of 0% interest. Lets see if I get approved though, lol.
