credit card companies are getting desperate

Lately I've been getting a lot of "pre approved" credit card applications in the mail, but this is just getting out of hand now. Today there were 3 in the mail, one of them from a credit card that I already have!
I know my credit is good, but do they really want to give me TWO credit cards from them? I don't hardly even use the first one.

I know exactly how you feel. I receive pre-approved credit card offers all the time, sometimes even from CitiBank which I already have a Visa cc with!

It's a machine...it goes in alphabetical order and sends it to everyone who has a credit rating over X...I get 3 of these a day...Some days, it's the only mail I get...

i still get those all the time, but my credit is crap. go figure.

I somehow received one when I was 13, it said right on there I was pre-approved, so I sent it in. They rejected my pre approved application on the basis of being too young. wtf?

Seriously, does anybody ever pay interest on their credit card anymore with the option to start a credit line somewhere else at 0% for a limited time?
