I have a Zen Xtra and like it but this looks nicer

....whats up with people still using buttons for volume control? Ipod's touchy-circular thing is still better IMO. Battery life is another story 🙁

iPod's competition is quickly narrowing the gap.

btw, i find dedicated volume controls to be much more convenient. with the iPod, don't you need to wait a moment for the iPod to go back to the Now Playing screen before changing the volume?

iamme: I as well like a dedicated vol button, the way the Zen is set up is nice, same with the Rio Karma, I expect this Zen to be simmilar, the interface is nice as well IDK why peopel seem to hate it, personally I dont like the ipods

zen and zen extra sucked due to its design (buttons on the side, no scrolling), i am very happy with my dell mp3 player though


EDIT:
IT IS THE DELL MP3 player rebadged!!!!!!!!

Compare the location of all the buttons and such, they only changed the outer shell and front scrolling button!

To me the now playing screen isn't really that important if you're already listening to a song and adjusting volume. Besides, if it really matters to you, you can press the center of the circle-pad a few times to cycle back to the Now PLaying screen.

As for volume control, I find it easier to just have the Ipod in my pocket and just draw circles against my pants. Makes people look at me funny, but damn its so convenient

having all the buttons on the side sucked, when i had it in my pocked i couldnt tell which side is which and the buttons on either side are nearly identical

unless you have HUGE pockets it will stay the way you put it

or you can get an mp3 player that's made with ergonimics in mind, so it doesnt have the identical buttons on both sides... dell player is defnitely better than the Xtra that i had
