Ok, so I've had my Zen for about 2 months and it has been working great. But now, when i connect it to my computer, the player doesnt say that its docked and Creative Explorer can't find it. I went to device manager and it was detected there. I've reinstalled all the software and drivers but it still doesnt work................. when auto play is ran, it says that the connected device is a MTP Media Player, not the Creative Zen..... HEEEEELP!!!!

Back to the OP-
My only guess is somehow another mp3 player driver was installed, and its defaulting to that when you plugin your zen. And of course, you Zen isnt compatible and thus your dilemma.

i havent installed any mp3 drivers since i got my zen......

People dont install viruses, but they get there anyway ;-)

Plenty of ways things could get installed without you knowing. I mean thats what i thought of since its recognizing your zen as a different device

Did you install Windows Media Player 11 in that time? It works fine for me, but some people at the Creative forums reported their Zens not being detected after installing Media Player 11.
