Creative Zen Vision: M - iPod video questions :D

Bacicly i have a iPod video now and like it for the most part but i would like better quality video.. So first question i have is for anyone with an iPod video and what way do you get the best quality video, What im wanting to do is the the AV cable thing so i can plug it into a tv, say at grandmas or something 😛 and watch the movie, thing is after i use PQ converter to conver a DVD to iPod compatable formate(mpeg-4) and whatever res it is (highest quality settings, 1500kbps) if i just play it on my computer in quick time as big as i can make it on my 19" monitor it isent so good a picture, and the tv i would be wanting to play it on is a bit bigger, so is there any way to acheave what i want?

Now i see the Creative Zen Vision m is getting some great reviews and that it also has a AV cable/adaptor thing, so i was wondering how video compaird on it to the video, or just how it looks on a tv of say 27-30 inch in the best quality you can put on it, I noticed that it can use more video formates, are any of thease better than mpeg-4?

Should i just give up on playing video on the tv with a mp3/ipod/thing player?

Well to answer both questions, first your monitor is NOT a TV. TV's are much better at showing low resolution content because even 27,32,48 inch, unless its HDTV, its capable resolution is still about 700x500. So you should TRY your ipod content on it before asking if you want to buy a vision:M. afaik the ipods video can be 400x400, 320x240 is just your lcd resolution.

That said, The vision:M is a power house. It will display output to a TV at 640x480. Also if the resolution of the video you are playing back is 640x480 or lower, you most likely will not need to recompress it. just copy it and go. Only problems you might have is if the audio is AC3, or the movie is in a non avi container. DVDs will need to be recompressed as they exceed resolution though, no escape from that.
