Creative Zen Vision for teh win?

I just don't understand why anyone would want to look at video or digital photos through such a tiny screen. What's the point?

I'm sure it caters more to people that are constantly on the go.

I also wondered why people would want 30+ GB of music to carry around. Now look at where we are...

It'd be an AWESOME way to offload pics from your digital camera while away from your computer if there was a mini USB --> mini USB connector.

I'm constantly on the go, as I fly a lot with my job, but the battery life would surely annoy me.

The dealbreaker:

Up to 13 hours continuous audio playback (Based on MP3/128kbps)
Up to 4.5 hours continuous video playback (Based MPEG4-SP/500 kbps)

I agree Rudee. I enjoy lugging a notebook computer, heck even my digital projector, on vacations when I want to review photos of the family. Or when I visit grandma or someone else who doesn't own a computer. It'd be really fun to bring my tower over there. Or how about when I am on a remote shoot and need to evaluate what we just shot. And I'd much rather lug a 6 lb notebok on the plane to listen to my music and watch my movies instead of this dinky 239g device.

Give me a break. You can't wait until you get home to view photos on a proper screen that you are willing to squint at a tiny portable device that sucks up battery power so quickly? I'm not that impatient. I can wait until I get to a proper viewing device where I don't have to ruin my eyes to make out details. It's a nice device, but I'm not at all thrilled about the battery life.

I have the previous version, got it for 50 bucks.
7 hours of video, 22 of music 😀

Meh. They really need to work on convergence more than upgrades.

How about a device with a 30GB HD, audio player, video player, picture viewer, PDA capabilities, WIFI for e-mail/web, bluetooth, and 3G cell phone capabilities so you can talk and surf on the road. Oh yeah, and Windows Mobile 5.0.

Who really wants to carry around a PDA, cell phone, laptop, and one of these?

Oh wait, I do 😀

Technology is not about practicality. It's about bragging rights.
