I have the Zen Vision:W and, for video, it's great. Battery life seems to be right at 4 hours and the screen is very nice. For music, I think it sucks, organization-wise, but the sound quality is good.
I bought a Zen Vision: M a few years ago and it's been great. The interface takes some getting used to, but now I don't think twice about it. Also great because you can add music via windows explorer without extra software. Battery life isn't great but I recharge it almost nightly.
Each of my children have a Zen, you name the type and they have it. Battery life could be better but not a big problem. I like the fact that that no additional software is needed, just plug in and play, transfer music. The screens are decent and repair cost are way better than the apple.
I recently got the 8 gig ZEN and so far it works great. I have 12 DVD movies and probably over 1000 songs on it and still have about 2 gigs of space. The ZEN has a slot for up to an 8 gig SD card that I have not used yet. The only negative is that the screen will scratch very eazy. I got a package of screen protectors from BB for about 15 bucks that will last the life of the player. I paid 84 bucks for mine (refurb from Creative) so I am very happy.
I had a Zen Vision:M for a few weeks about a year or so ago. It was defective, so I returned it and got another brand enw one that was defective as well. I returned it abd bought a Gigabeat S and never looked back, well until I bought recently my Zune.
