When I connect it to USB it starts up again. If I shut down, disconnect USB and leave it
overnight, does not turn on in the morning.
If I connect USB again starts working.

Anyone have this issue? Or is it defective hardware?

Thanks,
N.

I had a Vision: M that was doing the same thing, along with some other strange freezing and whatnot. I chalked it up to defective hardware and returned it. Luckily it happened in the first few days of owning it so there was no problem with the return.

Yeah, if that is working for you, you are in pretty good shape. I can think of much bigger hardships than periodically updating firmware.

Is there some sort of drive utility on that thing? I used to use a Dell DJ that would start to freeze a little after a few months use. It had a drive cleaner utility built in that I would run and it would fix up any problems I had; took about 5 minutes...very handy.
