As the manual on creatives website is in some foreign chm file, that nothing on my system will open (again, they can't use PDF??) i am unsure what jack is what on the card. Anyone know off hand or have a site where I can find this info?

I have that problem whenever I unhook my system too:(. Didn't like the idea of affixing a sticker to the card when I put the card in.

I don't have that problem anymore since I pulled my x-fi out and threw it in a box with other unsupported in vista stuff.

X-Fi Xtreme Music Connections Explained
(It's a Fatal1ty card on the picture but connections on the bracket are the same. Flexijack is the digital input or output or analog line in or mic in - depending on software settings)

@ Puffnstuff
I do not want to argue but hell get life puff ;)
I mean saw you raving about this for weeks and you know what I do not have any problem with X-Fi on Vista. Neither you do - running modded driver, right?
I use the creative one (updated today to new version) X-Fi + Vista go together like peas and carrot...

I mean if people are not able to google up an image they need or a manual they need they should not even try to use Vista, maybe macbook or this kids-proof OLPC laptop but, HELL, steer away from Vista ;)

No I pulled the card and the youpax software. Auzentech will probably be my next card thanks to creative and no they don't fully support the x-fi. Tons of threads at creative forum on how the new driver bsod's. I'm gonna keep on bitching.:)

I do not understand people like you Puff... Gizbug wanted information on connections. You had this info as you used to have this card, but you did not share it. Sure you saw the question and just took opportunity to bitch again?
So you might have helped but you chose not to...
Now you talking Auzentech, I mean, what's the HELL is wrong with you, what are you doing here?
Are you jailed with Internet access or just bored ;)

Actually the answer is stamped into the plate beside each of the jacks. Starting with the jack farthest from the from the screw bracket or the game port this is what you've got.
mic
front line out
rear line out
sub/center
These are your 4 jacks so go forth and be happy. As for ghouler, you let folks push your buttons too easily.:D

I wasn't confident in my answer, but IIRC, I remember it goes digital/front/rear/sub-center/mic from the screw (farthest from motherboad). Think I plugged it into the digital or rears once, didn't break anything...gfm (goof for me:)).
