Creative X-Fi & CS:S

Dunno if this belongs in hardware or software...

OK...so many people complain about clicks and such in BF2 and other games...during the brief pd. of time I played BF2, I noticed nothing of the source....however, with CS:S I am having a HORRIBLE time...

Gamplay seems laggy at times, sounds seem a little choppy...I could deal with that...but when I exit out of a game (as in disconnect), CS:S lags up SO bad that I have to either manually reset my system, or if I get lucky I can bring up task manager and kill the hl2.exe process....I have the latest BIOS for my motherboard, as well as a BRAND NEW X-Fi plat (with heatsink)...

System Specs:
Athlon 64 FX53
BFG nForce 4 (same as Chaintech VNF4 Ultra) (dirver version
, also tried 6.82 ad 6.85)
eVGA 7800GT (driver version 81.98)
2 GB OCZ Platinum RAM
Creative X-Fi plat (tried newest drivers and drivers from the CD...tried the newest ones as an update to the CD ones, AS WELL as using the newest on a fresh install of Win XP)
RAID 0 array using 2 WD Raptors.

Like I said - I've tried this on a fresh install of windows, and gotten nowhere....sometimes when I play a game and fire a gun, I hear the gun fire twice, (in reality I've fired once). Also, I've tried this without the front drive installed.

This is attrocious, I've had this card for 2 days, and I hate it already....other people on the Steam forums have reported the same problem.

Also worth noting - when I do the audio test where it loads the 3D environment, I see multiple printings of "ERROR" that are rendered in 3d....

I've NEVER had any problems with CS:S on my Audigy 2 XS Gamer...

If you don't like it so much I can trade you an Audigy 2 ZS for it + $$$ or just wat for better drivers.
