Hey all-

I'm thinking about getting one of these USB sound cards for my sister, who uses a laptop. She listens to a lot of music, but is hardly an audiophile of any kind (used the laptop speakers for two years until she recently got a $20 set of Creative standalones), and does ZERO gaming.

Anybody had any experience with this device, and knows if there'll be any kind of sound quality improvement at all over the laptop's onboard sound?

it is possible that you will get better sound, just make sure that you make a copy of the driver CD, since creative's online support is horrible. (I've been trying to get a driver for a differnt product for over a week now, they just don't seem to care.)
