Creative SounblasterLive! 24-bit question

I'm trying to figure out which sound card to pick up today

I use 2.1 crappy speakers but mostly headphones

does the 24-bit live do all its own processing, or should I get a better sound card?

which do you do more? music or games?

If music...then go with the chaintech av-710
if games...then you should add another 15 bucks and spring for the audigy value

either way, they all do the audio processing for you

what major factors are different from 24Live to audigy?

i am not an expert but i have read that the audigy has a much better signal to noise ratio...

btw, locally (going to pick one up today) Audigy2 Value is $70, really worth the extra $40?

can't seem to find Audigy value or audigy gamer locally
