I recently bought a sound card , sb0770 x-fi ..
I am new with this .. I downloaded 2 softwares from creative website , both gave me same error :

What i have done is :
Removed old realtek driver from cont. panel.
Disabled onboard audio from bios.

Installed creative driver from windows update , but when it asks to restart after installing it again shows me like this :

Yellow mark , then if i click on update then it gets hidden ..

I also tried PAX 2014 suite , but when i open creative icon it says no product detected :(

Kindly help me , or guide me step by step .. i really want to try this card with its features .. Specially for games ..
Thanks in advance .

Creative is notorious for dropping support on their products past the OS at initial release, or making drivers that are quite iffy after that point.

Are we looking at the same drivers? I am seeing this:

http://support.creative.com/Product...=16770&prodName=PCI+Express+X-Fi+Xtreme+Audio

It sounds like you are doing everything "right" here.

I know you have the yellow exclamation, but are you getting no sound from the card as well?

Yea same driver , i try installing PAX driver . Then I'm getting creative icon but when i click it it says no supported device detected ... But i go to playback device from volume and select speakers , then I'm able to listen .. But off-course i cant control any of the features of creative , what I'm observing is just normal basic sound ..

What if you remove any Creative software you installed and ask Windows Update to find a driver?

Yes if i remove , it detects my sound card , then after installing it ask me to restart , after restarting i didnt show up , also device manager show that yellow mark as i posted above , says device isnt working .
