blah, a propaganda to keep ppl interested in buying a Live! which is 3 years old.
ppl would be thinking, "hey, the MX400, Fortissimo, MUSE, and Santa Cruz are laters ones, so they must be better (only apply to santa cruz ) coz Live! is old."

Maybe old, but they can upgrade it with new drivers do to it being a dsp chip.

that DSP wasn't even as powerful as the Vortex 2 chip, BECAUSE it was a DSP. why? becuase the Vortex 2 chip is hardwired for what it does. it did EAX in hardware, just like the Live could (ie no CPU hit). I know, I have EAX enabled in some games, and I see absolutely no hit.

BTW, you can only upgrade a DSP so far. performance becomes the limit on the DSP quickly when you start talking about Dolby Digital decoding onboard, while playing a 3D game and also doing MP3 in hardware (with a GOOD audio codec!).
