hello guys and gals,
Ill try to make this short and sweet. I recently bought parts to build a new computer. Everything was going fine until i realized that I cannont connect my front panel audio on my chassis to my Creative Audigy 2: Gamer. The only way I can connect via the supplied harness is to the build in audio on the mainboard which I would rather not do after spending over 100$ on a new sound card.
In dismay I contacted Creative asking them for pin-outs or a possible how-to so that I would be able to use my new sound card and chassis in harmony. They told me the pin-outs were "protected information" and the best solution they could provide me with was to purchase their platinum version that comes with the Platinum Drive with fits in your standard 5.25 Drive bay, and has about a bajillion features that I would never use not to mention the fact that it costs about 80$ more. Disgusted and defeated I did some of my own research found the analog pin-outs for my card, but still have no way to connect the chassis harness to this odd looking connector. If it helps at all my chassis is a Tsunami Dream series from ThermalTake.
The harness is an array of your standard single pin connectors consisting of Mic,L-out,R-out,GND,and Mic Bias.
I have no clue how I can connect this to my sound card other than soldering directly to the connector which I would rather not do.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! I'm stuck!!!
Thank You
