I have been having problems with this mp3 player for the last month. The problem started with whenever you hit the volume key, the player shuts off. So I don't hit the volume key, great. On top of this problem, it locked up and the song still displays in the LCD. Last problem, is when you start it up, it turns off. I e-mailed creative tech support about it and they told me I should upgrade the firmware. Ok so I follow instructions, downloading the firmware and WindowsXP drivers. Install the drivers, then put the device into recovery mode for Windows XP to pickup. If I plug in the device not in recovery mode, it is recognized. If I put it in recovery mode, Windows cannot install the driver. It shows up as STMP3500 in my device manager under "Player Recovery Device Class". How can I install this device so I can run the firmware update?
