Creative mp3 players at zipzoomfly.com

do these all require creative software to be installed or do they work like a thumbdrive? I see that software is included... is it required? thanks to those that knows

I know the zen Vs and zen V plus all require software, but all that's required is a media explorer... it's basically just windows explorer that reads your zen specially.

I have a Creative Zen Nano Plus 1Gb and it works just like a thumb drive. You just drag and drop.

I have Zen Nano which doesn't require any special software.

not on the list above..but i have the Zen Vision W

it too uses a software "windows explorer" like interface.

Its not buggy and works well for me.

MuVo works like a USB key, no software. The others might all be PlayForSure, which would again make them no software (unless you need software to update them to PlayForSure Firmware).

I already got mine though. Took advantage of a $20 rebate when Buy.com had the MuVo V100 1GB for $59.99. I also found some $5 off coupon for new Buy.com, too bad I didn't see the deal earlier, because there would also have been the GC discount of $20 off of $50, and I could have had the MuVo for ~$20.

Love the Nano, it's sooooo small!! Sound quality is excellent, and love the drag n drop capability without the use of proprietary software.

while some do come with software it should not be needed, I had a vision m 30 and now have a vision m 60 and it has mediaexplorer which is nice but is not required you can plug it in and it acts as a drive if you want to change something at someone's house..
