Creative Megaworks THX 6.1 or Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1?

Klipsch are nice,i love my 5.1 ultras,but they are expensive. and i definatly wouldn't trust referb merch. i used to have original 5.1s,but the satillite amp died so i sent them back afting using them for just under 2 years(just before the warranty was up). they only had ultras so thats what they sent me as a replacement. for all you know you could be buying 2 year old used speakers.

Nebor, you said that only movies will put out 3D sound from my computer to the reciever and not games or music? Would I be able to going analog, and would I even really be able to?

Yeah, you could do both digital and analog out from your sound card to your reciever if you wanted, and just switch your reciever between sources. You'd then set your Audigy not to decode DD or DTS but instead to pass it out the SPIDF. That's not a bad idea if that's what you want to do, but keep in mind you're going to need to spend around $1000 for HT speakers to rival Klipsch Ultras or Creative Gigaworks.

I like the Klipsch but they are too expensive go with the MegaWorks they are well balance

You could always drop by a computer store to check out the logitech 680s and megaworks 5.1/6.1 and even Klipsch if they got them so then you can decide for yourself by actually listening to each set yourself before plucking down $200-300+ large.
