i actually did find some sblive 5.1 drivers but they were for dell soundcards only, does anyone have a link for NON-DELL sblive DE 5.1 drivers??

PS, i downloaded the live! series drivers from creative.com, and i seem to only get 4 speaker functionality, i need all of my 5.1 speaker setup to work, not just 4 speakers..

thanks for your time.

It is printed (silk screened) right on the Soundcard itself.

There should also be a white barcode tag with the BOX number on it.

Dont even worry about it. Just head on over to creatives site and download any of the soundblaster Live (not Audigy) drivers. Preferably the ones that go with your card. However; it doesn't matter because the only difference is with the software package and acessories they come with. EXACT same drivers.

yea, but those drivers only give me sound from 4 speakers, there is no sound from the central speaker and the subwoofer. Is there a way to enable 5.1 support from the drivers?

thx for your time.

Not all of the CT4830 cards support 5.1 sound. How long have you had it?

If I remember correctly, you need to use the 'DIGITAL OUT' (yellow DIN jack)
to get the full 5.1, which requires a Digital DIN to Mini-8 gender
cable to hook to a Reciever or Surround Speakers.

How are you trying to acheive 5.1 (speaker model, reciever, etc...)?

Logitech z-640

it comes with those colour coded plugs and i just match them as they are on the sound card, but in the creative mixer it only gives me 4 speaker functionality. (can only test 4 speakers not 5.1 "left channel, right channel" etc etc.. LOL)

i think its a driver problem, or there is a setting in the drivers that allows me to use 6 speakers, unfortunately i don't know how...

thanks for your time.
