Not to thread crap, as you post a lot of good deals and I appreciate it for sure. Just wanted to throw this out there early to avoid any potential confusion. This card does NOT have the EMU20k1 chip found on the rest of the X-Fi line and is more or less a software audio solution. If you're looking for true hardware acceleration and the EAX 5.0 features of the X-Fi, you're much better off going with an X-Fi XtremeGamer or XtremeMusic for a little bit more.

Edit: I didn't down rate the thread either lol!

x2, they have a specific driver for these and on the normal x-fi's it says "Do NOT install on the X-fi Xtreme Audio"

There needs to be a deal on the X-Fi XtremeGamer (the low profile one) because that is the one that has the front audio connectors.

ExtremeGamer is essentially the same card as the discontinued ExtremeMusic, which you MAY be able to find for around $50 for an OEM. ExtremeAudio is a totally different chip that is not worth getting, if you plan on gaming.

Thanks but that was already discussed in the first few posts of the thread.
