Look for Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! X-Gamer

Its $79.98. It was previously $99.98.
Add enough to apply the $30 off $100 coupon.
Save 20 bucks n get about 30 dollars off too,

Hopefully someone can find something that is $20 and has $20 rebate to sweeten this deal.

There are no stereo SB Live! cards, they all do at least quad (stereo front/rear outputs).

I have this card and, as the above post says, it has front and rear outputs. It works and sounds geat. I got it last year for 79.98 - 25 off coupon - for 54.98 + tax. IMHO that was a fair price for this card.

Is there any free after rebate item we can get to make the order over $100? I don't want to spend another $20 buying stuffs that i don't need.

too bad this isn't the X-Gamer 5.1, a MUCH better card in my opinion... primarily for the games that come with it... and 5.1 decoding is never a bad thing. :)

I got in on the non-5.1 deal last year also (79.98 - 25 off coupon ). It came with Thief, Descent 3, and Need for Speed 4. So it doesn't have to be 5.1 to have good games.

I think this is a decent price for this sound card. Hopefully someone can find a something over 20 and free after rebate to sweeten this deal.

Aren't there better deals on the Live! Value? I thought it was the same card minus any interesting software bundle.

Creative Labs Sblive X-Gamer( <--good name) for $79? That isnt really a deal. Thats acctuly still pretty expensive. If there are added rebates to make it around $50 or so, thats good. But I just bought a Sblive X-Gamer 5.1 for $79 : /

Buy.com has the SOUNDBLASTER LIVE! X-GAMER 5.1 for $86.95. Shipping is $5.68. I believe there's still a $10 new customer coupon, expiring 2/28. Net is $82.63 shipped.

Effenfish: I guess it's a matter of personal taste. I think that Thief II, Deus Ex, MDK2, and Unreal Tournament seems to be a much better game package than what came with the standard X-Gamer. and having 5.1 audio decoding is never a bad thing. :)

Yep.. Richard98 is right.. just got in on that $10 off deal.. had someone else buy it for me and I'm extremely happy with how it sounds on my Dolby Digital Receiver.. ah.. and to think I was going to settle for the regular XGamer at Staples.. phew!

BTW one of the reasons it's back down to 79.98 is because I complained to them that it is an unfair price for dated technology when the 5.1's can be had for the same price.. I think that could be why the price is back to what it was.. BTW what happened to the SB Live MP3+ 5.1 they had for $100??

hey could you (Phunktion) also complain to amazon, buy.com, onvia, and other internet retailers to bring their prices down... it seemed to have worked at staples
:D
