creative labs or ipod?

I've got a 40 gig iPod but, then again, I was only looking for something that plays mp3. I'm not interested in radio connectivity, having it available as a storage device, or any of the other things that other mp3 players can do.

Think about what you want your mp3 player to do, and how much you're willing to go through to have your mp3 player do it. Do you have a problem with installing third-party software to upload your music? Do you want FM capability? Line-in recording? All that other... stuff?

Consider these questions, look at the features of the aforementioned mp3 players, and decide accordingly. All a poll will do is tell you what other people are happy with; that doesn't give any kind of guarantee that you'll agree with what other people say.

doesn't creative have a reputation where their mp3 players don't last to long? Like how they don't have good resistance .. not as good as apple's ipods.

iPod 40GB 4th Gen! Although... now that I have a new digicam I am thinking hard about the iPod photo...

if you just need music go with vanilla iPod...
if you need pics and music go with iPod Photo...
if you need music that you can strap to your arm and run with, go with iPod shuffle...
don't get the iPod mini--the cuteness isn't worth the high $/GB ratio.

oh, I'm sorry was there anything other than iPods being discussed here? My bad...
