I had not built a system in a couple of years or stayed in touch with developments. I was surprised to see that (at least it appears that)CL is no longer building/selling Video cards. When/what happened? Just curious.

The video card market is very competitive. There just wasn't enough money in it for them, plain and simple. They got stuck from a ton of the MX cards that didn't sell so that was pretty much the straw that broke the camel's back. Although not completely out of this arena, they no longer distribute video cards in North America.
Interesting. Thanks for the info. My last video card purchase was a CL GEForce 2. I knew 3dfx was gone but I was still shocked to see so many familiar players seemingly disappeared. I found the options really slim. Despite a longstanding grudge concerning the miserable P.O.S. Expert 128 (I figure they still owe me decent drivers) I chose the ATI 9500 Pro. It just seemed like the best bang for the buck right now.
