I bought mine from overstock for more than $30, it is gateway OEM. I just checked ebay, you can get it cheap from ebay if you are not disgusted with ebay. Also, I found STB TV software is pretty good, but it only works under windows 98 , that is the reason I am still using windows 98 SE.

Just go to CompUSA and get the I/O Magic PVR. You get a 878 card and PowerVCR for the low low price of $39.99.

Thanks - This sounds like a plan. No rebate hassles, tried out PowerVCR trial and it works well with my ATI AIW (very old). This is less $$$ than I would pay for the software alone.

Ummm, the software isn't hard coded to ONLY work with this board - is it ??

Thx

The STB is a generic BT878 card. You can get XP and 2000 drivers for it.
