i hear (i could be wrong) that sdr & ddr MX will have little performance difference because of 128 bit something for sdr vs 64 bit same thing :)P) for ddr.

Actually, I beleive it is a DDR board. I checked the CL page and it's correct. Only the DDR PCI version has not been released yet.

So this seems to be a VERY good deal to me. Only problem is, it's backordered! ACK!:|

You might edit your adline to represetn more accurately the deal. This item is not a hot dela simply becuase it does not exist at buy.com. Their "back orders" are infamous.

How infamous are we talking here??? do they charge your credit card right away...or at shipping??? and how long do you suppose their back order would take? [I know there is no real way to estimate this...but from your best judgement call...how long does their typical back order take to ship?]

Just order the Jaton Geforce MX at Onvia for 104 last night. I know that the Jaton might not be as good, but I can't wait on buy.com anymore. I did see this about 2 weeks ago and kind of waited, but I don't think it's going to be in stock for a while. If you can wait, go for it..

Why only 109, cause CL sales it for 120, so they have to be cheaper to get some business.

Wow, great price. Now there is simply no competition at that price.

I cant believe that I paid 90 dollars for my V3 3000. That was a mistake.

It is the DDR

I just got off the phone with Marcus from CL customer service. He says that this card will probably not be available for another month or two??? How can they tell Buy or Onvia to start selling this thing if it's still vaporware?

Buy.com backorders ARE truly imfamous around here. Expect the product to ship somewhere between 1 month in the future, and never, or anything in between. I have waited MONTHS for a buy.com product. In fact, I have a buy.com product on order now that has been on backorder for many months, and that I never really expect to ship (remember the < $10 MS Intellimouse w/intellieye?).

Anyway, you are always taking a risk backordering from them, but sometimes it is worth it.

whoa ddr?? this should be interesting, i think i'll wait for the reviews but hey this could change everything, with a tad overclocking that DDR could really give the geforce2 a run for it's money, i mean heck the SDR ranked up with the DDR geforce1 and with a bit of overclocking beat the DDR, I'd love to see how a DDR geforce2 mx does!

is their any other geforce2 mx board out now with DDR that I can read a review of?

The MX only supports 64 bit DDR memory, so the perfomance would be on par with an MX running 128 bit SDR memory. Nvidia would never let its flagship card get caught by its value line :)
