Creative install disc audigy or x-fi

First off, it seems to me that if you don't use the original creative cd to install drivers & apps for your sound card, you can't get the apps through the online update, correct?

If you can't, I was wondering if it is piracy/illegal to share or make copies of the install disc? It would seem to me that it wouldn't, but who knows.

Well i've seen the disc hosted online but it's still a big install (200+mb) so it's not something that's easily piratable, and not exactly in high demand online.

Copying a driver disc would not be considered piracy under European laws.
