Creative Inspire 5.1 5300 (5th Speaker Prob)

ok i got the Creative Inspire 5.1 5300 and i also have the Audigy MP3+ and im having trouble getting the 5th speaker to work, when i run the software that lets me choose the speaker type (5.1/4.1/4/2.1/etc) i choose 5.1 and i run the test and it says the speaker name (right speaker/center speaker/etc) the speaker works fine... but the problem im having is the fact that the speaker doesn't play when i play music only 4 speakers work. anyone else having the same problem or maybe there is something im over looking? i know there is supposed to be a way to get them all to work can anyone help me?
