Creative Inspire 4.1 or Logitech Z540 ?

I want to get myself a 4.1 setup, and have narrowed down my choices to the Creative Inspire 4.1 and the Logitech Z540 . Do you guys have
an opinion as to which one is better? Any recommendations? Any known quirks for either? All I want to use mine for are just listening to my
music. I play quake and one or two other games occasionally. Its just that I've had enough of my $10 speakers and want something good. These
two fit my budget perfectly, and I'd like to know which one would be better to get.

Thanks.

i chose the creative inspire 4.1s and i have not been let down... the bass could be improved a tad... but it's great for watching movies and not overwhelming while listening to music

Hard to say?..

They are both pretty similar specification wise, I?d prolly pick the creative?s since they have been around longer and have solid reputation. But if music is you?re after you might want to just go with a set of better 2.1s

You ain't gonna hear alot of difference between the 2. My sister has a set of the 540's I think they sound good but can be cranked all the way up without any distortion. Unfortunately they will not hurt your ears when cranked all the way up but will fill a normal size room with farely loud music.

IMO you heard one set of Creatives you heard them all unless you buy a high-end set like the 3500's. I would just go with the one with the most features(controler options on the speakers) and looks the nicest.

I have the Creative Inspire 5.1 speakers and I have no complaints. The 4.1's are (from what I heard) identicle to the 5.1's but without the center speaker. I'd recomend them any day! 🙂

I was in the exact same situation, I went with the Z540's. They are very crisp, solid bass, good price. I do not like my music ear piercing loud nor am I an audiophile, for $70 they were well worth it.

I spent a little more and went z560s...
Ive heard both Inspire speakers and the Logitechs, and I would have to say it would be personal preference on looks🙂
Both excellent for the price, but as always i suggest spending a little more, and investing in some Z560s

I had ordered the z-560's from Dell and eventually cancelled my order due to the Dell monkies delaying it by a month or so. the Z-560's are very nice but if you dont want to shake your walls and listen to music REALLY loud, it's overkill. If this was Z560's vs PM 4.1's, then I would agree that the 560's are the way to go, but based on his choices, he doesn't need/want to spend for speakers that will do that.

560's are roughly 150 + shipping, 540's roughly 70 and can be found locally(I got mine at EB). It's all relative, I suppose.
