I've never had this problem before. When I play some mp3s, when I turn up the volume it increases a bit, then it goes very loud for like 2 seconds then goes low, and it does it a few times before settling at a constant volume.

For example at normal volume I want it a bit louder, I turn it up, it only goes a bit louder, then it goes a lot louder, then down again. it does this a fewtimes before settling down.

This has never happened before. Also in the volume settings, what is SW Synth?

Forgot to mention that the period where it goes louder, it lasts for a few seconds. And even when the volume reaches constant level, it sometimes does the volume changing thing.

Thinking about it, it could be an issue with the speakers. Have you tried a different pair, or headphones?

You might have a blown out tweeter or something inside your speakers. Other than that its probably software related. Itrigues are not meant for extreme sound leves there made to be compact and portable.
Check for new drivers for soundcard. Also youll know if its your speakers if you:
Go into the volume properties in the task bar (where it only shows master volume. Click on the slider a couple of times really fast to get the windows ping. If you get crackling and crap in the speakers youll know its your speakers then.
Good Luck,
Kevin

Have you checked the DIN connector from the wired remote to make sure
it is seated properly in the Sub-Woofer unit? (easy to kick or pull out)

K, I opened up the volume slider but it was along with the other ones too. I clicked on it and all I heard was that "ding" sound everytime i clicked the slider.

Yeah, all the wires are properly plugged in and tight

Just a quick thought here, but do you have a microphone plugged into your soundcard? It sounds to me like some random piece of software is trying to compensate for feedback from the mic/speakers.
