Creative GeForce 2 GTS + Det 3 drivers = NO GO! Req Help!

Hey all:

I got a new Creative Annihilator 2 GeForce 2 GTS 32MB card and it is great! Although, I have one problem:

I cannot run ANY of the drivers from the Det 3 series, that includes 6.18 through 6.34... The drivers before this run great, which I currently run the 5.22 although they are not as fast and the FSAA is not as good as with the Det 3's.

The problem caused by the Det 3 drivers is that I get a hard lock after about 10-15 mins of 3D gaming, in ALL games... Any suggestions are MUCH appreciated!

Specs:
AMD Athlon 600
FIC SD-11 mobo
128MB PC-100 SDRAM
Creative Annihilator 2 GeForce 2 GTS 32MB
SBLive!

My Card Config:
AGP 2x (tried 1x and get same results)
FastWrites ON
Apeture Size set to 256

NOTE: The Creative FastTrak 6.34 drivers work great, although I want to run the reference drivers, NOT the Creative ones.

Whoops.. to answer your question:

No I havent tried lowering it, suggestions on a size? I was thinking the BIOS was the problem and that maybe it needed an NVidia BIOS flashed onto it since it has a Creative one...
 
64 is a no go.. same results... should I leave it at 64 or use 256?

the thing that puzzles me is that the creative det 3 drivers work and the reference ones do not... that's what lead me to the video BIOS, but u guys would know better than I...

what should I try next?
 
as u only have 128 meg of ram, the best setting for aperture size is 64 ( here
hmmmmm i dont have any experience with FIC board, sorry mate i have no idea anymore 🙁

Should I use the ref 5.22 or the FastTrax 6.34? Also, Don't really know how I'm supposed to setup the Creative drivers and their Blaster Control thing...
 
I had a very similar problem with my geforce locking up in 3d games I tried different drivers (removing all traces in the registry and in win\sys) etc I also bought a geforce 2 to see if it was hardware related (was going to get one anyway),but couldn't get it to work. In the end I reset to fail-safe defaults in the bios. I booted back up and the games now work fine. Since then I have re-enabled and tweaked the bios again and am not having any problems. I can only guess that I changed something and forgot to test it or something in the det3 doesn't like a certain bios setting.
