Creative cdrw problems

I have a Creative CDRW 8432, Ive also put an hr of my life trying to get something posted on Creative's tech support page but really dont expect a responds.
Devices shows CDRW-8438e firmware rev FC-03.
The mod# on the drive shows RW8438e
Creative mentions there are 5 revisions simular to this but always points to the CDRW 8432.
problems are, Cant get dma to work and have had no problems with any other CDRW's, Cant use firmware updates since they compare mod #'s, Not to mention firmware #'s are totaly different, eg for the 8432 are 1.07 and 1.09

Some info on who is the real vendor of this drive would help, No programs will reveal it.

RW8432 is a Plextor 8432
RW8435 is a Samsung SW-208b
RW8438 is a Samsung SW-208F
RW8433 is a Panasonic CW-7585

More information is available here, but not all versions of the Creative 8432 can be flashed successfully. I reflashed an RW8435 to a Samsung SW-208b by using the author's software.
