creating subdomains under dathorn?

i cant figure it out!!! what am i doing wrong?

i went into cpanel and created the subdomain. fine and then i try to access it and it doesnt work.
however it does work when i go to www.domain.com/subdomain

Did that account have access to create subdomains?

for some reason i could create bubba.samsen.org but not forums.samsen.org

also, i was able to log in via ssh and now i cant. what gives?

do you have a directory of the same name? You can only create a subdomain if no directory of the same name already exists in your /public_html/ folder. When you create the subdomain (i.e. forums.samsen.org), it will create a /forums/ directory in /public_html/.
