Creating .rm files from DV Camera

I am not sure if this is a software of video issue, so I am posting it here also.

I would like to create .rm files for streaming like this. That is the basic quality I want. I have Helix Producer Basic right now, but when I try to create the files on the fly from the camera and not from a file on the hard drive, the sound and video don't line up. They are about one second off. If I create the files from an existing DV file, it takes a long time to compress. Does anyone have any idea?
