Creating Installer files for PC and Mac installations?

I have some video files (tutorials) that I need to package professionally into installer files for customer installations, files installable both on Windows as well as on the Mac.

I don't believe I need anything fancy (ie license/drm protection), just prefs for where the customer would like to install the files, a desktop icon option for the target folder, etc.

What programs are good to use to do this? (free is great but reasonable cost is fine too.)
 
WinRAR's self-extractor works nicely for the unzip-and-gimme-an-icon type of installs. You can customize the installer itself with your own icon, text, logo, etc.

That's interesting. I didn't think of going with that type of installer but it would certainly fit the bill, especially with the ability for those customizations. Thanks much for the feedback code65536!

Would love to hear other options as well.
