creating an installer? how?

hi I'm finishing up a windows program and I want to make an installer for it. I used the installer project template that comes with .net, but it creates a setup.exe and an msi, and I want it to make just a single setup.exe. also it doesn't have an uninstaller, and it won't overwrite/remove previous versions on installation. how do i make an installer do all these things? any tutorials, links would be helpful! thanks in advance,
